We’ve just started a new year and I already have a potential contender for ‘album of the year’. Totally hasty, I know, but that’s how much I like this album.

If you weren’t acquainted with Fear My Thoughts I suggest you start now, these guys have recorded the album that might very well catapulted them to fame, and deservingly so I must add.
If like me you love melodic death, get ready to fall in love with the Germans.

Vulcanus is simply brilliant, it has all the elements that make me love melodic death above all, and I can’t stop listening to it. A must that has it all: great songwriting, melody, strength, technique, aggression and top production from Jacob Hansen ―Oh! I bow to you sir.

Pay special attention to the track Culture of Fear, I love the 12 tracks (if you listen to my show you know it by now, I play it every week) but that one is a piece of genius , a bit in the Opeth vibe but FMT all the way. Anyone who can write such a gem has a special place on my shows and in my heart.
