Ever since Diablo released ‘Eternium’ in 2004 (their third album) we’ve been eagerly waiting for a new album from the Finns. Finally we can hear ‘Mimic 47’ and once again they delivered a powerful and no nonsense great metal album The old school influence is clear, Diablo don’t hide it but they know how to combine it with more modern elements, sounding as a result 100% contemporary. ‘Mimic 47’ is an album that will appeal to many tastes and its riffs will easily stick in your mind. The combination of very low guitars with fabulous solos makes it an absolute pleasure for any metal fan to listen to, and their great ability to write excellent melodies is outstanding.

The album has already been No 1 on the Finnish Album Charts and deservedly so. Let’s hope they now reach their fair position in the rest of the world. Listen to this album and you too will sell your soul to ‘the devil’.
