Hatesphere - The Sickness Within
SPV ( 2005 )
While The Haunted’s ‘Revolver’ has received great critics all around, I still maintain that something great was lost when Marco Aro left the band. I have to say, Hatesphere have filled that gap in my world with this album. Pure thrash and up tempo tracks, more rocking and mid tempo ones and all of them brutally good. In a world with far too many mediocre bands wanting to play ‘metal’ without really feeling it, Hatesphere are a breath of fresh air, these guys don’t have any doubts about who they are and what they play and it transcends into the 11 tracks.
Ever since they released ‘Bloodred Hatred’ I knew there was something very special about the Danes. Watching them play live last year on the Kreator tour they proved me right. I totally loved their no-nonsense style, they go, they deliver and they leave us wanting more. Hatesphere are my new agro thrash heroes.
