The Haunted - One Kill Wonder

At last the long awaited new album from the mighty The Haunted and it's worth the wait. Brutal riffs in the usual manner and some slower dark grooves to let you catch your breath back. Per's drum skills and technique are the closest you can get to perfection proving once more why he's one of my favourite drummers in the world. Marco's vocals retain the conviction and confidence that makes him such a charismatic frontman. As for Jensen, Anders and Jonas what can I say? This guys are the riff masters! This is The Haunted going back to their roots and capturing all the intensity they possess live also in the studio, resulting in a less polished production and a more raw sound. If what you're looking for is the most intense metal with the highest musicianship this album is the answer. Now that they're all together again The Haunted are here to stay, no wonder!
