The best Swedish metal to come out of Holland, that's right! Detonation play death metal so close to the Swedish style of In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, The Crown etc, you would never guess it comes from Holland. Everything surrounding An Epic Defiance, Detonation's first full length album, is complete and impeccable: the musicianship of every member, the production, the artwork (by Niklas Sundin) and even guest appearances (especially worth mentioning the one from Orphanage's vocal master George Oosthoek) but ultimately what matters is that the music is of the highest quality. This album is one of those you fall in love with at the first listen. In these times where there's so much corporate crap being put out, with Detonation suddenly the world feels a safer place for fans of unashamedly brutal metal.
